Mt Peregian (Emu Mountain)

Its summit is only 70m above sea level, and it takes just 10 minutes to climb, but there's a rewarding view from the top, and no crowds (unlike nearby Mt Coolum). You see Coolum and beyond to the south, Noosa to the north, and the hilly hinterlands to the west.

I also walked around the (somewhat soggy) nearby bushland, which is now part of Noosa National Park.

Saw what I think was a Rainbow Bee-eater. Didn't see any emus, even though peregian is the local aboriginal word for them, and that's how the area got its name.
