Gotta have a City Centre! (and it's on its way)

The Gold Coast has been a city for quite a while. And it's got skyscrapers to prove it. Here on the Sunshine Coast some were a bit jealous about that, though there's also a very strong ('we're not the Gold Coast') anti-skyscraper movement. But the region is officially a city, with a single city council. So I guess it needed a city centre. Who will get the honours?
