Sussing out Tibrogargan

It was time to tackle a Glass House Mountain. Couldn't procrastinate any longer, and the early morning weather was finally conducive. So off I went to the Barrs Rd car park, and Mt Tibrogargan. The circuit around the base is listed as a nice easy short one, and there's a slightly bigger circuit nearby: the Trachyte Circuit. So I decided these two walks would do for now.

I wondered what the Tibrogargan summit walk would be like. Then I came across this rather scary information board, and figured I'd made the right decision.

I found out later, from several sources, that the official signage might be somewhat over-cautious. Seems almost every schoolkid gets pushed up the thing at some stage, and most of them make it back alive!

I'll have to get back there soon.
